This 24″ x 38″ acrylic painting was painted in 1995. Papago Park is a beautiful park in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. The botanical garden lies to the right of the scene and the mysterious Red Rocks are evidence of Indian sacred ground. This painting looks like it is in the remote desert, but actually it is right in town. The Sky Harbor Airport is just off the left of the picture and planes land every 10 to 20 seconds. McDowell Rd is just the other side of the grand Red Rock and packed with traffic. Camelback Mountain is in the distance in the center of the painting.
